Book Editors Club began in 2018 to support authors preparing to offer their manuscripts to traditional publishers and self-publish their work. To ensure the writer has a long career and gains a good following, the Book Editors - each one an experienced writer or editor, or avid reader - screens the manuscript prior to publication.
Feedback to the author may or may not include:
- Story Structure
- Credibility
- Contradictions
- Grammar
- Typographical errors.
The six to eight Editors' feedback generally ensures the author presents the best book they possibly can to publishers or printers, barring the final read of the all-important first printed copy.
This is a free service to members, the session running bi-monthly after the general meeting, so the Editors have adequate time to do a thorough job on each manuscript. The final meeting is a face-to-face discussion with the author.
