 Travel Writing (4 sessions)  -  Tutor - Kathleen Knight

Travel writing includes aspects of research, creative non-fiction, and forms to allow readers to vicariously travel. Learn the conventions, forms, and styles of travel writing for yourself or publication. 

 

October 29th  -  Computer Skills for Writers – Audio Books  -  Tutor - Helen Iles

Audio books are now very popular and the market less flooded than print books. The course will show you how to record your own audio book and discuss equipment, preparation and recording specifications for the initial recording phase.

November 5,12,19  -  Writing Children’s Books for Non-Artists (3 SESSIONS)   Tutor - Helen Iles

Writing for Children will cover children’s picture books for littlies and young readers, and encompass writing for the pre-teen. Sessions cover language, format, illustrating your work and avenues of publication. How to produce a picture book when you can’t draw!                  

 

November 26  -  Classical Poetry for Influence (1)  -  Tutor - Kathleen Knight

Come and play with leaping poetry influenced by classical poems written by the masters. Let the creativity of the past inspire your new works. We will read poems, choose our favourites, and write new material.
