The Bronze Quill winners are announced at the end of year Bronze Quill Luncheon, with the Judge reading their report and awarding certificates and the Bronze Quill trophy.

The winner holds the Perpetual Trophy for the year, returning it in October the following year. The winner must collect the trophy in person and return it to avoid it being lost or damaged during shipping.

An individual trophy is retained by the winner who also receives $100 prize money.  The Runner-up wins $50. Highly Commended and Commended entries (up to three of each) receive a Certificate, at the Judge's discretion.
