The Society of Women Writers WA
EWB Literary Awards

The Ethel Webb Bundell Literary Awards was first held in 2010 to honour Ethel Webb Bundell, a prominent Western Australian woman writer, and founding member and first State President of The Society of Women Writers WA. The competition also provides an avenue for writers from across Australia to showcase their work nationally.

The competition is held biannually, and alternates between Short Stories and Poetry each year of the event.

In 2026, the Literary Award is for Poetry.

The competition opens on 1st December 2025 and closes on 31st March 2026.

Each entrant can submit three poems.

The Award presentation is held in June 2026.
