The Society of Women Writers WA
Writers' Circles

Writers' Circles are for members living in isolated areas or those who cannot attend meetings or classes, for any reason, or for those who need the push to write regularly. The Circles offer the opportunity to become part of a small group of fellow writers, made up of all ages and levels of experience. The aim of a Writers' Circle is to extend encouragement and assistance, to help develop writing skills or sometimes simply to be a reason to write.

Each Circle has an editor who collates the contributions and feedback comments from each member, and circulates the magazine to the group

Groups are not usually more than eight members.

Writing Circles can receive the monthly magazine via email or post, depending on the group dynamics, with most groups now participating via email.

A small fee is paid annually to participate in Writers’ Circles.

Current Writing Circles are:

Mail Out -

  • Carousel
  • Poets Pad

Email -

  • Cyberette
  • Odyssey
  • Pathfinder
  • Caliope

Circles are a great way to make friends and share your craft.
